Yes, we deliver to Koreatown, the whole of it: 90005 and 90010 along the Wilshire corridor, 90006 down toward Pico, and 90020 out to the Windsor Square edge. Koreatown Plaza and the blocks around the Wiltern are inside as well. If you are in a tower, put the unit and the door instructions in the notes.

Koreatown orders late and orders upstairs. Most people here live above the ground floor, in a Wilshire tower or an older courtyard building off Western Avenue, and those kitchens were not built for a pot this size. So it comes as one tray for two on a weeknight, or a set for the whole apartment when someone has a birthday and eight people are already sitting on the floor.

ZIP codes we deliver to in Koreatown

Everything is cooked in our Sun Valley kitchen, about fifteen miles north of Wilshire. The driver takes the 101 south and cuts across to you, typically thirty minutes of driving. He comes off around Vermont Avenue and works west from there. After six, Olympic Boulevard usually moves better than Wilshire, which goes signal to signal through the Wilshire Center blocks. The last stretch is the slow one: kerb space in 90005 and 90010 is scarce enough that he often parks around the corner and walks the final block in.

Every tray is sealed at the pot and rides out in an insulated carrier, so the drive costs the boil as little heat as it can.

Your boil, your call

Pick a heat level, from No Heat to LA Inferno. Then salt: light, regular or extra. Every item on the menu is finished the way you asked, not the way the pot ran that night.

Koreatown packs more people into a square mile than anywhere else in the city, and most of them live above the ground floor. That changes an order: towers on Wilshire with a lobby desk and a parking structure, older courtyard buildings off Western Avenue, then the low streets at the Windsor Square edge of 90020. It is also a neighbourhood that already eats this way, a covered table and a pile of shells. Wiltern nights slow Wilshire and Western, so order around the show.

What we boil

Every order ships with gloves, crab crackers, scissors, a table cover and a shrimp deveiner.

Questions people from Koreatown ask

My building is a few blocks outside those ZIPs. Will you still come?

Checkout is stricter than the run itself. It only recognises 90005, 90006, 90010 and 90020, so an address a block the wrong side of Vermont Avenue, or south past Olympic Boulevard, will bounce online even when the driver would happily go.

By the time it reaches a Wilshire high-rise, is the boil still hot, and what is it packed in?

A sealed tray, closed at the pot, inside an insulated carrier. The run to Wilshire is about fifteen miles down the 101 and typically thirty minutes of driving, which shells hold up to well, because the tray goes into the carrier straight off the boil. In a Wilshire tower, add the elevator.

Can we do a birthday for eight in a Koreatown apartment?

Yes, and it saves hunting for a table for eight in Wilshire Center on a Saturday night. Order a set sized to the group, spread the cover over whatever table you have, and put the tray in the middle. No plates, no serving dishes, and the shells go straight back into the bag afterwards.
