Three sorts of people order from Anaheim and they want three different evenings. Families in West Anaheim and The Colony, cooking for a birthday or a christening, ordering deliberately more than the room can finish. Visitors camped for a week around 92802 near the resort, worn out on restaurant menus by the fourth day, who want something spread over a table with paper on it. And the houses climbing into Anaheim Hills, 92807 and 92808, where from May onward the yard is the dining room. All seven ZIPs are on our map: 92801, 92802, 92804, 92805, 92806, 92807 and 92808.
What each of them asks for follows from the reason. The birthday tables want a set built for six, crawfish and snow crab in the same order, corn doubled, the seasoning kept mild enough for the grandparents and a second tray sent out near the LA Inferno end for whoever demanded it. The hotel orders are smaller and blunter: a few pounds, garlic butter, chickpeas, done. Whichever it is, Orange County sits beyond our thirty-mile line, so the cart needs $150 on it before checkout will let it through. Better to know that while you are building it than at the last screen.
Live in the tank. Boiled to order, or packed live and raw for your own pot.
ZIP codes we deliver to in Anaheim
One freeway carries the whole trip: the 5 south through Downtown, past the 605, over the county line, and off near the stadium or near the resort depending on the ZIP. Forty-two miles, roughly fifty-three minutes on an empty road, and that road is seldom empty in this direction. The southbound 5 toward Orange County is the evening commute for an enormous number of people, and somewhere between four and seven it stops being a fifty-three-minute trip at all. Order earlier than feels necessary. The last leg then depends on the neighborhood: flat, gridded and quick across West Anaheim, slower and windier once the climb into the hills begins.
Every tray is sealed at the pot and rides out in an insulated carrier, so the drive costs the boil as little heat as it can.

Neighbourhoods we run to
Your boil, your call
Pick a heat level, from No Heat to LA Inferno. Then salt: light, regular or extra. Every item on the menu is finished the way you asked, not the way the pot ran that night.
Anaheim is not Los Angeles and does not behave like it. Around 92802 it is hotels, timeshares and apartment blocks built for people staying seven nights, so there is a front desk, an elevator that wants a keycard, and a lobby a driver can actually walk into. West Anaheim is tract streets, driveways, no gate worth mentioning. Higher up in 92807 and 92808 the lots widen, the driveways lengthen, the gates become real, and a code left in the order notes saves everybody a phone call. The Platinum Triangle towers by the stadium are their own case again: a parking structure and a callbox.
What we boil
Every order ships with gloves, crab crackers, scissors, a table cover and a shrimp deveiner.
Questions people from Anaheim ask
There are only two of us. Can we still order?
Only if the total lands at $150 or above, because that is the minimum on any address more than thirty miles out and this one is forty-two. Two people can get there without waste, since a set for two plus a pound of crab and the sides is close to that number, but a single three-pound tray on its own will not clear it. Delivery is charged separately and worked out from your street address rather than from the city name, which matters here: the flat ZIPs and the Anaheim Hills addresses in 92807 and 92808 are far enough apart that they land in different distance bands. Checkout shows you your own figure, and it goes to zero once the order passes $600.
My mother wants to cook them her own way. Do you sell them uncooked?
That request comes in constantly and the answer is yes. Live crawfish are sold raw from the tank at five dollars a pound below the boiled price, and what follows belongs to her: her salt, her dill, her bay leaf, her pot, the recipe she has never written down anywhere. Three pounds is the starting order if the crawfish are not going inside a set. Plenty of families here split it, boiled trays for the table and live ones for the kitchen she runs.
Can the driver bring it up to a hotel room or into an apartment near the resort?
The handover happens at the front desk or in the lobby and the driver calls you from there, because hotel floors in 92802 want a keycard in the elevator and we cannot ride up without you. In an apartment building, leave the unit number and gate code in the notes. Anaheim Hills has the opposite problem: the gate is out at the street and the front door is a long way behind it, so tell us where to pull in.
