Yes, we deliver crawfish to Northridge, and all four ZIPs are inside the zone: 91324, 91325, 91326 and the CSUN campus at 91330. The crawfish sit live in the tank until your order lands and go into the pot after it, so nothing on the tray was cooked before you asked for it. Supply is seasonal.

Northridge is about twelve miles out, usually near twenty-two minutes behind the wheel, and almost all of it is freeway rather than signal-to-signal crawling on Roscoe. The variable is the last mile. Off the freeway onto Reseda Boulevard the blocks are wide and the lights are long, and around the CSUN campus edge in 91330 the evening empties into the same intersections the driver needs. Up on the Porter Ranch side of 91326 the streets go quiet and the driveways go long, so a line in the notes about where to pull in saves the walk.

Every tray is sealed at the pot and rides out in an insulated carrier, so the drive costs the boil as little heat as it can.

Northridge orders come from backyards. The wide-lot houses along Devonshire Street and up toward the Porter Ranch side already have the outdoor table, which is the right way to eat this: cover, gloves, a pile of shells, no plates. Closer to the CSUN campus edge the order changes shape. Four or six people in an apartment, one Set for Two split between them, extra corn on the side. Both work. One set sized to the head count, then sides rather than another pound of crawfish. Six people around a table in a 91330 apartment do fine on a single set with corn and chickpeas added. A birthday in a Devonshire Street backyard is a different order. Over twelve people we need 48 hours.
